What does an AI consultant do?

An AI consultant helps companies decide where AI actually fits in their product or operations, then builds and ships it. At Good Vibes Engineering that means everything from picking the right LLM and prompt strategy, to integrating it into your existing software, to running the production infrastructure (eval pipelines, observability, cost controls). We focus on outcomes, not demos.

How much does AI or software consulting cost?

Pricing depends on scope and engagement model. Discovery and advisory calls start free. Project work is typically scoped as a fixed-price engagement or a monthly retainer. Larger builds are quoted after a discovery call. Hourly advisory and code review is also available.

What is the difference between an AI consultant and a software engineer?

A software engineer typically owns one part of a stack. An AI consulting firm like ours brings senior engineers who have shipped LLM and ML systems end-to-end — model selection, retrieval, evaluation, deployment, monitoring — and can advise on the product and business decisions around them. We do both: the strategy and the actual implementation.

Do you build custom LLM integrations?

Yes. We build custom LLM integrations on top of OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Vertex AI, and open-source models. Typical work includes RAG pipelines, agent workflows, structured-output extraction, evaluation harnesses, and putting an LLM behind your existing product or internal tools.

Can you migrate our infrastructure to GCP, AWS, or Azure?

Yes. We design and run cloud migrations on Google Cloud Platform, AWS, and Azure — including Kubernetes, container builds, CI/CD, Terraform-based IaC, observability, and cost optimization. We can lead the migration ourselves or pair with your existing platform team.

How do you price engagements?

Discovery is free. After that we offer (a) fixed-price project work for clearly scoped builds, (b) monthly retainers for ongoing engineering and on-call coverage, and (c) hourly advisory for code reviews, architecture sanity checks, and interview support. Quotes are issued as signed proposals before any billable work starts.

Do you offer fractional CTO or technical advisory services?

Yes. We act as a fractional CTO or senior technical advisor for early-stage companies that need senior engineering judgement without a full-time hire. Typical engagements include architecture decisions, hiring loops, vendor selection, code reviews, and stepping in to lead specific builds.

Where are you located and do you work remotely?

Good Vibes Engineering is based in the United States and operates remote-first. We work with clients across North America, Europe, and the rest of the world. Meetings happen on Google Meet and we collaborate across the usual stack — Slack, GitHub, Linear, Notion, and whatever your team already uses.

How long does a typical engagement take?

Discovery calls are 30 minutes. A scoped technical plan usually takes one to two weeks. Build engagements range from a 2-week prototype to a 3-6 month feature build. Retainers continue month-to-month with no long-term lock-in.
